What Pre-meds should know.

23 notes

The MOST eye-opening article I’ve read in awhile.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/28/health/trainees-in-radiology-and-other-specialties-see-dream-jobs-disappearing.html?smid=go-share&_r=1&

For you pre-meds, please read this article and please understand what you are getting yourself in to at this point.

I’ve been following healthcare reforms, future career status’s and the such over the passed 3 years, and this is something that warrants reading.

I can’t imagine what those residents and residents like them are going through and how they’re dealing with it.  You give 5-7 years of hard work and in return you’re given a slammed door with over 300k in loan debts you still have to pay off somehow.

Again, please read this article.

This is so unnerving. The fact that doctors jobs and even post graduate education is unstable is really concerning.
